Project Sunshine is excited to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors for 2025. Evan Michael, Thomas Miranda and Stephanie E. Srulowitz, each bring an abundance of industry knowledge and experience, and we’re excited to have their guidance in support of our mission to bring the healing power of play to children with medical needs. Evan Michael is the principal legal advisor to NFP’s senior management on the company’s strategic and tactical legal initiatives. In leading NFP’s legal department, he oversees legal, compliance, and risk management functions, works on all aspects of major transactions and acquisitions to ensure NFP maintains and expands its robust compliance offerings. Before joining NFP in 2006, Evan was a mergers and acquisitions attorney for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and then a private equity and mergers and acquisitions associate at Goodwin Procter. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a law degree from New York University. Evan is a born-and-bred New Yorker whose favorite hobbies include spending time with his wife, teenage son and rescue dog, while also finding time for golfing, traveling and rooting for NY sports teams.
Evan on his appointment to the board: “I am thrilled to join the Board of Project Sunshine, an organization I’ve been proud to support for many years. I’ve seen the transformative impact Project Sunshine has on children and families facing medical challenges, and I’m excited to deepen my commitment to its mission.”
Thomas Miranda, CPA, is an Accounting and Audit Partner with Anchin. He specializes in guiding entrepreneurial business owners and closely held businesses toward achieving their financial goals. As an advisor, he excels in providing critical guidance on cost and expense management, benchmarking, inventory control, and third-party financing. He routinely consults with clients on federal and state tax matters and has assisted many clients with mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, and due diligence. Thomas is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Project Sunshine’s Finance Committee, and the Board of Advisors at Holy Trinity High School.
Thomas on his appointment to the board: “We are all privileged to share in the human experience. Being on the Project Sunshine Board grants me the opportunity to uplift or transform many lives, an act we must embrace it with unwavering commitment.”
Stephanie E. Srulowitz is a Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Co-Head of Weil’s U.S. Private Funds practice and a mother of three boys. Stephanie represents private investment fund sponsors in connection with the formation, structuring and negotiation of their investment funds and also advises sponsors in connection with complex secondary transactions. Stephanie is actively involved with the Firm’s inclusion and pro bono efforts and is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Taskforce on Women’s Engagement and Retention (TOWER). Stephanie is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School and Yeshiva University.
