Project Sunshine is thrilled to announce a deepening of our partnership with JDRF, the leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy organization.
We first started delivering TelePlay to JDRF’s Greater New York Metro chapter in 2021. After experiencing great results and positive feedback, we are now expanding to serve four more JDRF chapters in the Northeast region.
Project Sunshine volunteers will be delivering a program once a month through the end of this year with its trained volunteers from its Boston Community Chapter with games and activities like trivia and art mad libs.
With the introduction of TelePlay, Project Sunshine has been partnering with various disease-specific nonprofits to deliver the virtual program to children coping with chronic illnesses at home.
We’re excited for this opportunity to bring the healing power of play to a new population and look forward to seeing their smiles on the screen.
