Project Sunshine is excited to announce that in 2021 we are introducing two new board Task Forces to help Project Sunshine scale and grow: the Impact Task Force and the Marketing Task Force.

The Impact Task Force partners with the staff to determine the measurement framework to evaluate Project Sunshine programming. The committee will take a multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted approach to measuring impact – from the patient experience, volunteer experience, and financial investment.  The committee’s first initiative will be to collaborate with the staff on a strategic plan for TelePlay.

Members of the Impact Task Force are:

  • Kendrick Perkins, Learning Experience Designer at Salesforce

The Marketing Task Force provides guidance for the overall marketing, communications and branding strategy of Project Sunshine. The work of this group will support increased visibility and success of Project Sunshine programs, hospital partnerships, volunteer recruitment, corporate engagement and donor outreach.

Key initiatives of this group will include:

  • Advise on the timing, scope and scale of a branding and messaging overhaul
  • Identify how to best utilize current marketing and communications resources
  • Support development of partnerships and identify pro bono resources to increase marketing impact
  • Develop and implement family and patient marketing outreach initiatives for TelePlay, Project Sunshine’s newest program
  • Periodic reviews of marketing channels’ effectiveness including website, social media, video, e-mail marketing, media relations and advertising
