New 2022 board members for Project Sunshine

Project Sunshine is thrilled to announce the addition of three spectacular members to the Board. Dr. Gerry Loughlin and Aga Morgan joined in March of this year and Stacy Taffet was voted in this December. They come from diverse industries and will bring tremendous value in guiding the organization to bring healing play to even more children with medical needs. Please join us in welcoming them to the Project Sunshine community!

Dr. Gerald Loughlin is an internationally-recognized authority on pediatric respiratory diseases, including asthma, cough and sleep apnea. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. After 19 years in the role, he recently stepped down as the Nancy C. Paduano Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Pediatrician-in-Chief at the New York-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He continues as Professor of Pediatrics.

He received his M.D. from the University of Rochester and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Business Health Care Finance and Administration from Johns Hopkins University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Thoracic Society, Pediatric Pulmonary Sub-Board chair for the AAP and was member of the Board of Directors of the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore Md. He recently joined the Board of the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) , a not for profit group working with disadvantaged children and families in the Harlem area.

The recipient of many awards and honors, Dr. Loughlin is ranked as one of New York Magazine’s Best Doctors and Castle Connelly’s America’s Top Doctors. He has authored numerous publications, and is co-editor of two textbooks focused on diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases in children, and pediatric sleep and breathing disorders.

Agapito “Aga” Morgan currently serves as Commercial Healthcare Leader.  In this role, he is focused on growing Key’s national commercial banking healthcare business in collaboration with healthcare industry coverage teams within KeyBanc Capital Markets, Enterprise Healthcare Payments and Consumer Banking. Additionally, he serves as Co-Chair of the Commercial Bank’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and as a member of the Bank’s Commercial Credit Risk Committee.

Prior to this role, Aga served as the National Sales Manager for Key@Work from 2018 to February of 2020.  In that role, he redesigned Key’s bank at work strategy and led a national sales team charged with accelerating awareness and execution of Key’s Financial Wellness-centric, Consumer Banking platform.

Aga brings over 26 years of Commercial and Corporate Bank experience.  He first joined Key Community Bank in 2011 as a Commercial RM in the Indianapolis, IN market.  From 2012 to 2018, he served as a Director at KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) in the New York City Office, where he was responsible for earning new client relationships and deepening wallet share with existing clients.  In addition to driving high value fee generation, Aga took on many leadership roles within Key, including assistance with KBCM’s Summer Analyst Recruiting process.  Previously he was with JP Morgan Chase as a Vice President in the firm’s International Banking Group.  Aga began his career at Goldman Sachs Group where he worked for a number of areas including Credit Risk Management, The Energy & Power Investment Banking team, and the Urban Investment Group.

Aga earned his bachelor’s degree in English and African American studies from Williams College and holds his Series 79 and 63 licenses.  Currently, Aga resides in Weston, CT with his wife, Leslie, and one child.

Stacy Taffet is currently Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing for Frito-Lay at PepsiCo. In this capacity, Stacy runs the largest brands in the snack portfolio including Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Ruffles and Fritos. Prior to this role, Stacy was Vice President, Marketing, Water Portfolio at PBNA where she ran a portfolio of brands for the North American business including Aquafina, LIFEWTR, and Bubly. Under her leadership, the portfolio was the #1 contributor to category growth, brand equity increased significantly across all three brands, and the portfolio was recognized as a leader in purpose and sustainability. 

Prior to PepsiCo, Stacy spent 4 years at American Express in several different marketing roles including product manager of Platinum and Centurion Cards. She graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Stacy has been recognized by the Advertising & Marketing industry with several awards including being named to AdAge’s 2019 Women to Watch class and Campaign US’s 40 Over 40 2020. Stacy lives in Chappaqua, NY with her husband Scott and two children, Brooke and Aaron.
