Medical Facility Partnership

Supporting medical professionals through play

Project Sunshine is a global network of volunteers that provide play and activities to help children cope while facing medical challenges. Project Sunshine supports the work of child life specialists and other medical professionals in their work of providing psychological, social and emotional support to pediatric patients and families. We design and facilitate developmentally appropriate and adaptive programming in a range of settings within the hospital and outpatient medical facilities.

Nonprofit Partnership

Virtual play for your community

Project Sunshine partners with disease-specific nonprofits to provide age-appropriate activities and games to the communities they serve. Our programs are adaptive for children with various developmental and sensory needs. Partner nonprofits organize regularly scheduled programming for their constituents while Project Sunshine provides trained and engaging volunteers to facilitate virtual play sessions.

AR23-quoteAll of the staff and volunteers from Project Sunshine are professional, fun, and responsive. Everyone truly understands that it is a hospital which comes with needing to be timely, but also understanding that issues come up last minute. We love the trivia games that we do with out art program on Monday nights!

“Project Sunshine’s activity kits are really great for preschoolers and children, especially those that are here at the hospital for a lot longer. Having an activity kit gives them something to do and engage in. The parents and siblings also able help them the kids their activity kit which fosters family time, especially when they're going through something so stressful."
