Jordon's Story
On Sunday, June 30, 2019, Jordon was the official “Cyclone for a Day” at the Brooklyn Cyclones game. Jordon was able to meet the players in the dugout, throw out the opening ball, and his story was shared with attendees of the game.
Jordon was born premature at 23 weeks and he had a number of medical challenges. He had a gastrostomy tube for feedings and he also had a tracheostomy in 2013. Jordon has overcome many medical challenges and he is doing exceptionally well. He is very energetic and loves school and visiting the medical clinic. He graduated last week and will be going into the 6th grade.
When Jordon comes to the clinic ,he always asks Nurse Jones “What do you have for me?” with a big smile.
“Thanks to Project Sunshine and the many art kits and books, Jordon always leaves my clinic with a sunshine smile and plenty of goodies!” says Nurse Jones.
Project Sunshine provides Sending Sunshine packages into hospital systems for patients across the country, as well providing volunteers to support children as they face medical challenges.
