Meet Jaslin – a vibrant 4-year-old cardiology patient who loves to party but often misses out due to the medical issues caused by her congenital heart defect.
Jas endured three heart surgeries and countless doctors’ appointments before the age of three. Her mom, Ana, dreaded bringing her to the hospital because of the terror it caused Jas. Project Sunshine helped her overcome her fears when our trained volunteers threw a very special Star for a Day party to celebrate the success of her latest heart surgery, giving Jas the chance to be a kid again, shaking maracas and singing along to her favorite songs.
