Bring Joy to Hospitalized Children
Whether employees are at home or in the office, Project Sunshine has meaningful opportunities to connect your team through an engaging and impactful service project. with both materials-based and totally virtual options, let our team create a fun, memorable experience that will deliver joy to children in hospitals across the U.S.
Corporate Engagement Opportunities
Though our Sending Sunshine program, volunteers assemble individualized packages that contain the supplies needed for a pediatric patient to complete an engaging and therapeutic craft activity. Each Kit contains developmentally appropriate activities and are distributed to patients when volunteers and professionals cannot be present. Interactive materials allow children to explore – providing relief and distraction from hospitalization
Sending Sunshine at Home:
If you’re working remote and you’d like to engage your team in packing our Activity Kits, Project Sunshine will ship materials directly to the homes of employees. Our team facilitates a virtual teambuilding and training webinar for packing the kits and provides shipping labels for the kits to be sent directly to medical facilities in need.
Sending Sunshine in the Office: Your office may be open with limited capacity or you might be making plans for when you’re all back together as a group. We can help you structure an in-office, drop-in style Activity Kit build event to allow your team to send sunshine from your workplace.
Create a Custom Activity Book for Pediatric Patients:
Project Sunshine staff will lead volunteers through a engaging webinar, where they will learn about Project Sunshine’s mission and the emotional and behavioral health challenges faced by children enduring hospitalization.
Employees will be guided through Project Sunshine’s program development model and will be given a template to create a page for a custom Activity Book that will be printed and distributed to patients in Project Sunshine’s partner hospitals.
Bring the mission of Project Sunshine to your employees with our customized volunteer webinar. This virtual meeting with a member of the Project Sunshine team will allow your employees to understand how our work has evolved amidst COVID- 19, and learn about ways your employees can support pediatric patients in their own communities.
