Volunteer Spotlight: Ralph Lauren

During Ralph Lauren Gives Back Month this October, Ralph Lauren employees around the country joined forces with Project Sunshine for their Pink Pony campaign. Participating employees in four Ralph Lauren offices each made a Surgery Doll for a hospitalized child in need. Surgi Dolls are medical play dolls that hospital staff use to prepare children for surgery or other medical procedures, and help ease patients´ anxiety, allowing them to ask questions about their experience. In total, Ralph Lauren volunteers made 600 dolls that were distributed to pediatric medical facilities across the country.

Ralph Lauren volunteers are always very enthusiastic about Project Sunshine. They hand stitched their dolls with care, and some have even followed up to get themselves or family members involved with Project Sunshine more regularly. Many employees proudly took photos with their dolls and shared them on social media for their friends and colleagues to see how they were giving back to their community!

Regardless of the event, Project Sunshine can always count on Ralph Lauren volunteers to put their whole heart and remarkable creativity into the materials they put together for children facing medical challenges nationwide. Thank you, Ralph Lauren, for making such a huge impact this October and over the years!
