Volunteer Spotlight: UnitedHealth Group General Managers Party

In September, volunteers from UnitedHealth Groups General Managers team partnered with Project Sunshine to host an exciting football-themed Party Time for the patients and families of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Thanks to the energy of the UnitedHealth Group volunteers, the football arts and crafts, photo booth, and face painting kept children entertained for hours. Pediatric patients, siblings, and caregivers were able to step away from their hospital rooms and enjoy the activities, providing a much needed break.

To top off the fun, EJ Henderson, former Minnesota Vikings linebacker, joined the party to take photos with star struck patients and sign their newly decorated crafts. Excited patients and families crowded around to meet the player. The event, including Hendersons appearance, was even broadcast on Star Studio, the hospitals internal television station for all to see.

In addition to the Party Time at the Minneapolis campus, a smaller group of corporate executives volunteered for the second time, bringing lots of joy to the St. Paul campus with creative arts and crafts activities in The Zone.

Thanks to these dedicated volunteers in Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Twin Cities were beaming with sunshine!
