Volunteer Spotlight: Jessica Heald

Project Sunshine - Jessica Heald

Jessica Heald, a student at the University of Nottingham, traveled from London to New York City to volunteer for Project Sunshine--her first non profit experience ever. Jessicas apprehension about her international internship soon turned into inspiration when she witnessed the difference Project Sunshine makes. During her internship, Jessica facilitated the Sunshine Chefs and Arts and Crafts programs that improved the lives of children living in hospitals, as well as attended a Project Sunshine event every day of her internship!

"Volunteering every day enabled me to witness the incredible happiness that Project Sunshine brings to children and their families throughout hospitals across New York City. My internship this past summer allowed me to see how even the smallest of things could produce a huge ray of sunshine."
