Project Sunshine - Northstar Realty Finance

This summer, volunteers from NorthStar Realty Finance joined Project Sunshine to host a special Musical Party Time at the East Harlem Asthma Center of Excellence. Children and families enthusiastically put together and decorated musical instruments including maracas, rain sticks, drums and microphones with the help of the NorthStar team. The families were also treated to a very exciting musical performance from Sesame Street cast members Bob McGrath and Emilio Delgado. In addition to creative arts and crafts, patients were invited to get temporary tattoos and face painting, make homemade trail mix, and take photos with another great Project Sunshine volunteer - Miss USA, Nia Sanchez!

Inspired by the celebrity guests, several children and families asked the volunteers to autograph their musical crafts. Not only did they ask Sesame Street cast members and Miss USA for their signatures, they also collected autographs of every amazing volunteer in the room, a clear sign that all Project Sunshine volunteers have celebrity status to these kids!

Bob McGrath, from the Sesame Street gang, couldnt agree more. "The volunteers really got into working with the kids," he says. "It was great to see how much fun they were having as well as the kids."

The NorthStar team was "very happy to have participated in such an enriching event with Project Sunshine. It was a true delight to see the smiles on the kids´ faces and we hope to participate again soon!" Project Sunshine thanks the NorthStar Realty Finance team for bringing songs and sunshine to so many deserving patients and families.
