Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Project Sunshine!

Volunteers are the heart of Project Sunshine. They are students, young adults, corporate professionals, senior citizens and people of all ages who bring sunshine to the children and families that we serve.

NY-based volunteers: Below is the schedule of our monthly training/orientation sessions. You are only required to attend ONE session to become a volunteer. Sign up here.

Tuesday, October 14th, 7pm (full)

Thursday, November 13th, 7pm

Wednesday, December 3rd, 7pm

Tuesday, January 6th, 7pm

Wednesday, January 28th, 7pm

Trainings begin promptly at 7pm, and doors close at 7:10pm.  If you arrive after 7:10pm you will be asked to sign up for a future training. This is to ensure that all volunteers are fully trained.

Volunteers outside of the NY area: Please visit our locations page to see if there is a chapter near you; then complete the Volunteer Application. You will get a response from the Project Sunshine office within one week.

To volunteer in hospitals with Project Sunshine, volunteers must be 18 years or older, but we offer several other volunteer opportunities for children under 18: Kids for Kids, Sunshine Giving, & Family Day.
